Share one tablet between everyone
Set a 4-digit PIN so you tap your photo instead of typing a password on the farm’s shared tablet.
- This is for a tablet or laptop the whole farm uses. On your own phone, keep using your password.
- Nothing to switch on first — your farm already has it. (An admin can turn it off at Settings → Farm → Shared device sign-in, and that makes every tablet forget everyone.)
- Each person does this once on that tablet: sign in with your password as usual.
- Open Security (Settings → Security) and find "This device".
- Choose a 4-digit PIN, type it again to be sure, and tap Remember me on this device.
- Pick something nobody watching you could guess — not 1234, not your birth year.
- When you finish, tap Hand the device back. The tablet shows everyone’s photos again.
- It does that on its own too, after a few minutes with nobody using it.
- Next time, tap your photo and type your PIN. You are back where you were.
- Your PIN stays on that tablet and is never sent to Famu, so nobody — including us — can look it up or reset it. Forgotten it? Tap "Someone else? Use a password", sign in, and set a new one.
- Get it wrong five times and the tablet forgets you, which is deliberate. Sign in with your password to set it up again.
- Everything you record is still saved under YOUR name, so always check it is your photo showing before you write anything down.
