Start a new batch

A batch is a group of birds that arrived together. Everything poultry — feed, deaths, weights, sales, profit — hangs off it.

1. Open Poultry → Batches and tap New batch.
2. Say whether they are broilers or layers, and how many arrived.
3. Enter the date they arrived — or, if the chicks are not in yet, tick “not known yet” and add the date later.
4. Enter the price per chick and the chick cost fills in, or type what you paid in all and Famu works out the price per chick.
5. Pick the pen they went into.
